Richard Peirce is a well known shark conservation campaigner and is the chairman of the Shark Trust and the Shark Conservation Society. He has been an active shark conservation advocate for 25 years. He is a photographer, writer, broadcaster, journalist and filmmaker and has written the following books, The Poacher's Moon, Pirates of Devon & Cornwall, Sharks in British Seas, Shark Attack Britain, Sharks of Cornwall & Devon, Execution Sites of Devon & Cornwall.
Richard and his wife Jacqui live in southern Africa for half of the year where they spend most of their time supporting wildlife conservation efforts. Jacqui is also a keen photographer whose images illustrate many of Richard's books.
A portion of the proceeds from Richard's wildlife books and the sale of their photographs is donated to wildlife conservation causes. When in the UK they are based in north Cornwall where Basking sharks, Porbeagles and Blue sharks are on the doorstep!
